MP-3 FLAGMAN Green welding electrodes are designed for manual metal arc (MMA) welding of carbon steels in all spatial positions. They are widely used in various types of welding jobs for butt, fillet, and lap permanent joints with metal thicknesses ranging from 3 to 20 mm. MP-3 electrodes feature a special rutile coating.

Electrode Description

When stored properly, they do not require baking before welding. In case of dampness, bake at 90–100°C for 30 minutes (for ø 2.5 and 3.0 mm) or at 120–130°C for 1 hour (for ø 4.0 and 5.0 mm).

Deposition efficiency: 8.5–9.2 g/A·hr.

Electrode consumption per 1 kg of deposited metal: 1.69 kg.

Application Range

MP-3 FLAGMAN Green electrodes are intended for manual metal arc welding of any structures made of carbon and low-alloy steel. Welding can be performed even by a novice welder using budget-segment welding machines. These electrodes are irreplaceable when welding in "field conditions" at low current. The metal surface can be wet, with traces of rust or other contaminants. The MP-3 FLAGMAN Green electrode melts quietly during welding, creates almost no spatter, and forms a fine-ripple weld bead. Upon cooling, the slag lifts by itself, leaving the weld clean without additional mechanical effort.
